Written in 1967, John Herbert’s Fortune and Men’s Eyes has been produced in forty translations in over one hundred countries. The twelve editions of Fortune and Men’s Eyes since 1967 have made it the most published Canadian play of all time.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of this groundbreaking play’s premiere, KOVAL Studio is presenting a dramatic reading of the work directed by BRI WATERS (Gingers in Love, Toronto’s The Rocky Horror Show, bare: The Canadian Premiere). The play will be brought to life by an all-star cast featuring COLTON CURTIS, GEORGE KRISSA, GRAHAM PARKHURST, PAOLO SANTALUCIA and Dora-Award winner BRUCE DOW as The Guard.

Following the reading, a panel of prolific members of Toronto’s theatre community will discuss the play and it’s importance to Canadian theatre.

One Response to Fortune and Men’s Eyes: 50th Anniversary Presentation

  1. Frank Miller says:

I’m thrilled to see Herbert’s play get the attention it deserves. With luck, this reading will inspire someone to put it back into print. Wish I could be there.
