Buddies turns 39 years old this season. As we head toward a new decade, we are asking some big questions. I invite you into the heart of the oldest queer theatre in Canada, to grapple with the intersections of queerness, colonization, climate change, indigeneity, race, class, and religion. This season we implicate ourselves both in history and in our collective future.
I’m excited to unveil significant new queer works on our stage, as well as welcoming back audience favorites from last season. I am also excited to be deepening our relationships with Toronto’s most groundbreaking indie companies, and establishing new and innovative partnerships with theatre makers here in Toronto and across the country.
Join us as we break new ground, hold space for radical queer conversation, and dream the culture forward.
