An image of Calvin Cox with his back to a mirror, so that we see him twice. He wears a black ball cap and a colourful shirt with illustrations of faces on it.

Calvin Cox
Aug. 5, 1993 – Nov. 2, 2023

Calvin Cox was a multifaceted artist. He had a passion for Halloween and ran a haunt in Dundas, Ontario. He did makeup, had his own makeup line and loved modeling. He loved walking with friends through the Royal Botanical Gardens to enjoy nature. Zoology was a passion: he owned multiple animals including snakes and alligators. He performed and volunteered for Burlington Student Theatre.

Calvin was a mascot for the Hamilton Ticats and Bulldogs. On Tuesday nights you could often find him at Woody’s on Church Street supporting the open-stage drag performers. He loved the rollercoasters at Canada’s Wonderland, especially Yukon Striker and Shockwave.

Donations to the Calvin Cox Memorial Fund will go towards supporting emerging queer artists at Buddies, including the 2024 Queer Emerging Artists Awards. Donations above $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt.
