Hot damn is back with the final qualifier before our fantastic Finals in April! Last chance to qualify to represent our series at the Canadian/Turtle Island Individual Poetry Slam. No prior competing needed to join us. We have a two round poetry slam and an open mic (not just for poets, show us your talents!)

Sincerely Shyy is an educator, spoken word artist, published poet, and change agent to art and culture in the GTA, developing art-based education for PDSB, TDSB, and community-based initiatives. She considers herself a rose that grew from concrete, emerging into a leader of the new school, art educator and wellness practitioner. Shyy’s work is in creating art that reflects the time, facilitating dialogue centered around the lived experiences of BIPOC and Queer communities and engaging her tribe in healing.
