YIKES Co. Is hosting a trades market where customers are able to trade their own goods/services with the vendors, or pay with money, the equivalent amount to the vendors. The market will look the same as a typical market would, with vendors and customers. Just as a conventional market, the actual sales point will be between the vendor and the customer.

The thought behind the market is to support arts workers and creatives in ways that are not bound in Capital. We recognize that making art is not only a taxing but also an expensive endeavour, we also recognize that it is often artists supporting one another. In order for the trading to feel fair for both parties there is a value cap of $30. This way if a trade does not work out, the monetary price is something that is affordable for customers.

Our staff have been monitoring provincial and city regulations, and have used this information to create a COVID-19 Safety Package for visitors, artists, and staff while at Buddies.
