Every year, OUTLaws hosts the Wendy Babcock Drag Show in honour of proud sex worker, activist, and Osgoode JD student Wendy Babcock. ❤️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Wendy Babcock was an influential activist and Osgoode student who worked tirelessly to advance sex workers’ rights, Trans rights, Indigenous rights, child welfare reform, harm reduction, ending violence against women, reclaiming the streets, and mental health supports.
The Wendy Babcock Drag Show proudly pays tribute to the life and advocacy of Wendy Babcock. As we celebrate the upcoming show, we encourage you to reflect upon Wendy’s legacy and how we can make space for others like her at Osgoode and beyond. Let us continue to honour Wendy’s legacy by diligently working to remove barriers for sex workers, our trans siblings, people experiencing homelessness, families separated by child welfare, and people in need of mental health supports.
