Internship Posting: Two Positions for Rhubarb 2016

CALL FOR APPLICATION: FESTIVAL INTERNS

THE 37th RHUBARB FESTIVAL
TAKE YOUR SPACE
Festival Dates: February 17 – February 28, 2016

Canada’s longest-running new works festival returns for a 37th year. For two weeks, Buddies is transformed into a hotbed of experimentation, with artists exploring new possibilities in theatre, dance, music, and performance art. Rhubarb is the place to see the most adventurous ideas in performance and to catch your favourite artists venture into uncharted territory.

The Rhubarb Festival is looking for two interested individuals to aid in the organization and administration of the Festival in the capacity of Rhubarb Festival Interns. An internship at the Rhubarb festival gives interns an inside view of the organizational structures necessary to facilitate new work. Interns will develop relationships with artists and Buddies in Bad Times Theatre staff, and work closely with the Festival Director to plan and execute the Festival.

We have two unpaid internships available:

  • Assist with compiling data for final reporting.
  • Liaise with guest artists, speakers and participants as required.

  • Coordinate and edit content of Rhubarb Festival blog/related social media.
  • Assist in creation of the Festival program
  • Assist with planning and execution of artist and volunteer meetings/special events
