The Disability Collective is thrilled to present CRIPtonite, a Deaf and disability-led drag and burlesque show! CRIPtonite brings together a variety of talented performers to celebrate the intersectionality of queer and disabled identities. We’re challenging barriers and showcasing the incredible artistry in our community. Expect a night of fierce creativity, radical accessibility, and unapologetic self-expression.

Join us in-person at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre or online via livestream on Wednesday, June 25 at 8PM for a line up of bold and boundary-pushing acts.

ACCESS MEASURES:

• ASL interpretation will be provided by Phoenix the Fire. Please email ali@thedisabilitycollective.com to reserve a seat near our interpreters
• Audio Description will be available. Please email ali@thedisabilitycollective.com to reserve a device. Sighted guides will be available to meet and guide community members as needed
• Open captions will be provided
• A livestream option will be available featuring all of the same access measures
• This will be a Relaxed Environment. Folks will be welcome to make noise, move around and come and go as they need and we will have fidget toys, ear plugs, and other access tools available at our access table
• Masks are required for all attendees, artists, volunteers, and staff. Exemptions are always made for medical and access reasons. Free KN95 masks will be available
• Air purifiers will be on in the theatre
• A Venue Guide and Access Guide will be available on our website closer to the event

About The Disability Collective

The Disability Collective (TDC) is the only fully disability-led multidisciplinary arts organization in Toronto. Dedicated to celebrating and showcasing work created solely by disabled artists, TDC strives to de-stigmatize disability and challenge perceptions of disability by providing disabled artists with paid opportunities to share their work in a variety of forms, along with actively advocating for and improving accessibility and inclusion in the Canadian arts community by providing disability consultation services. We are committed to strengthening the disability community’s presence in the arts and creating a space where disabled artists can connect and grow their practices together.
