Sink your teeth into the nectar of 2026 at the Buddies in Bad Times New Year’s Eve Queer Eden Party, curated by Gay Jesus. This year’s full-facility celebration (we’re talking the whole building!) features a lineup of groundbreaking DJ’s, earth-shattering drag and burlesque performers, and ethereal evening surprises. Inspired by the florals of queer history, we invite you to sweat your way across the dancefloor like you’re tracing your very own constellation, to tangle vines with your midnight kiss, and to ring in the new year in your very own Queer Eden.
Pricing is based on hourly entry times with a VIP option featuring complimentary coat check + beverage for those who’d like to live spontaneously + enter at their leisure. If you miss your entry window, you’ll be charged the difference in price for your entry time.
Stay tuned for space activations, vendors, and more!
Gay Jesus
THE ONE AND HOLY GAY JESUS is an internationally performing drag king serving a mouth-watering communion of Latine wine and non-binary bread. He’s the 2019 Fierce! Festival Producer’s Choice Feature and, that same year, was nominated for LGBTQ Person of the Year by the Inspire Awards. He was a featured performer for Canada Pride ’22, released music videos as one of Queer Collective’s OUTLOUD winners, and delivered smashing debuts at the Toronto Burlesque Festival and as a Featured Artist at the Austin International Drag Festival in 2024. Named one of CBC Art’s Super Queeroes, he’ll be seen next as a Featured Performer for the 2025 Toronto Burlesque Festival.
Aza Lia
Aza Lia is a whirlwind of seduction and mischief, wrapped in a dynamite little package. Born in Korea and bred for the stage, this powerhouse performer has reimagined the K-wave through the glamorous lens of burlesque and striptease. Her remarkable career has placed her in the spotlight at some of North America’s most esteemed burlesque festivals, showcasing her signature acts at the New York Burlesque Festival, Toronto Burlesque Festival, Teaser Festival (New Orleans), Asian Burlesque Festival (NYC & Montreal), and New Mexico Burlesque Festival. She is a proud core cast member of Les Femmes Fatales—Canada’s premier Burlesque Troupe for Women of Colour. Far beyond the shores of North America, yet close to her heart, Aza has left an indelible mark on audiences in her beloved hometown of Seoul, South Korea—a career-defining milestone that celebrates both her roots and artistry.
With every daring movement and hard-hitting musicality, Aza Lia is unapologetically “Korean Gone Bad”. She is The Seoul Tigress of Striptease, ready to leave you wild and feral with her every command.
Joe Peach
Joe Peach has got all ass and no gender: named after their favourite fruit and yes of course, their juiciest, thickest… personality. Every move is dedicated to all the babes who channel our greatest trans ancestors. Reminding us that our embodiment of transness will ALWAYS include our abundant joy, love, and creativity. Get ready for this burlesque babe is ready to shake what their Akan ancestors gave them.
Maharli Kween
Maharli is the sweetest Filipinx snack! This genre-fluid entertainer is the true definition of Halo Halo (pronounced: hah-loh, hah-loh): Her colourful mix of high fructose energy is so refreshing she’ll give you chills!
