Make a Donation
You can support Buddies and donate online using our secure online payment system, by phone at (416) 975-9130, or by mail to 12 Alexander St. Toronto ON, M4Y 1B4.
Aeroplan Miles
Got miles you aren’t using? Donating your Aeroplan Milles to Buddies is easy to do and helps us send our touring productions around the country.
DONATE AEROPLAN MILESLEGACY GIVING
Arranging a gift to Buddies through estate planning is a great way to show your support.
A charitable gift in your last will and testament, known as a bequest, can be in the form of a sum of money, a specific property, a percentage of the residue of your estate, life insurance, or RRSP.
This celebration of your legacy allows you to make a significant impact in our future, while at the same time, entitling your estate to a tax receipt for the full value of your gift. You may want to speak with your financial and legal advisors to ensure that your financial goals are considered, your tax situation is reviewed and that the planned gift is tailored to your needs.

Securities
Reduce your capital gains and receive a tax-deductible receipt by making a donation to Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
In 2006, the Federal Government eliminated the capital gains tax on charitable gifts of publicly-listed securities donated to public charities. By donating your securities to Buddies, you not only receive a tax receipt for the fair-market value of your gift, but you also eliminate the capital gains tax you would otherwise have to pay. You can donate stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Shares in private corporations and stock options are not eligible. Donating securities allows you to make a donation to Buddies without affecting your day-to-day financial requirements.
Donate Securities via CanadaHelpsMatching Gifts
Many companies match the amounts that their employees contribute to charitable organizations. If you are considering making a donation to Buddies, check with your finance or human resources department to confirm whether your company has a matching gift program – or read our list of major Canadian employers with matching gift programs (pdf).
United Way & Benevity
The United Way and Benevity both offer programs that allows you to give to Buddies by allocating a certain amount of your earnings that is collected from your paycheque (like CPP and EI), and is displayed directly on your T4 forms at tax time. Check with your employer to see if they support this program, and if you decide to support Buddies this way please let us know so we can recognize your generous donation.

Host a Fundraising Event
Are you having a birthday, an anniversary or another special occasion that makes you want to mark the event with a donation to a non-profit? Do you have an idea for a fundraising event you would like to host in our cabaret space? Special events are a great way to show your friends how much you support Buddies, and welcome them into our community of donors
