One-Time Donations

Make an immediate impact with a one-time gift. Your contribution directly supports our mainstage productions, artist development programs, and community initiatives.

Donate Aeroplan Miles

Got miles you aren’t using? Donating your Aeroplan Milles to Buddies is easy to do and helps us send our touring productions around the country.

Matching Gifts

Double or even triple your donation through your employer’s matching gift program. Many companies match charitable contributions made by their employees, significantly increasing your impact on Buddies’ work.

To take advantage of this opportunity:

1. Contact your HR or finance department to confirm if your company offers matching gifts.
2. Complete any required forms (often available through your company intranet).
3. Let us know about your matching gift so we can track and properly recognize your full contribution.

Corporate Matching Partners

Many major employers in Toronto and across Canada offer matching gift programs. Check out this list to see if your employer is included. Even if your company isn’t listed here, check with your HR department—they may still match your donation to Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

Companies often match gifts at ratios of 1:1, 1.5:1, or even 2:1, making your donation go significantly further in supporting queer theatre.

United Way + Benevity

The United Way and Benevity both offer programs that allows you to give to Buddies by allocating a certain amount of your earnings that is collected from your paycheque (like CPP and EI), and is displayed directly on your T4 forms at tax time. Check with your employer to see if they support this program, and if you decide to support Buddies this way please let us know so we can recognize your generous donation.

Donate a Car Canada

We are proud partners with the Donate A Car program!

You can turn your vehicle donation into generous dollars to support Buddies in Bad Times Theatre! Working on our behalf, Donate a Car Canada will accept your vehicle for donation — running, or not! Old or new!

There is no cost to you, and the process is incredibly easy. Donate a Car Canada will facilitate all aspects of your car donation from the pick up to the final sale, ensuring that your vehicle will be sold for the highest sale outcome possible. They will then forward the net proceeds on to us here at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre and you will receive a tax deductible receipt within two weeks of us receiving your donation.

Host a Fundraising Event

Are you having a birthday, an anniversary or another special occasion that makes you want to mark the event with a donation to a non-profit? Do you have an idea for a fundraising event you would like to host in our cabaret space? Special events are a great way to show your friends how much you support Buddies, and welcome them into our community of donors.
