Late Nights at Tallulah's Cabaret

Every weekend, Buddies opens the doors to our community for fun, friends, and dancing

It’s both. Buddies in Bad Times is a professional theatre company dedicated to the production and development of queer plays. We’ve been around since 1979 and are the largest and longest-running queer theatre in the world. On the weekend, we host late night events to raise money for our theatre and community programming. All the proceeds from the bar go directly to the theatre, which makes late nights at Buddies the most fun you’ve ever had supporting the arts.

Coming up at Tallulah’s

Note: all events at Buddies have been suspended until June 30, 2020 in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. You can read the full announcement here.

As you may know, our bar, the legendary Tallulah’s Cabaret, is one of Buddies’ most important fundraising streams. The building closure and programming cancellations—especially Pride—is going to dramatically impact our bar staff and our bottom line. Over the years Tallulah’s Cabaret has been host to late night dance parties, community fundraisers, weddings and memorials. Some may call it the spiritual heartbeat of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

If you are able at this time, please consider raising a virtual glass, and joining our community of donors.

How to not be a Jackass

Buddies is part of a diverse neighbourhood of businesses, bars, and people’s apartments – we ask that when you come to party on the weekend that you treat our neighbourhood, our neighbours, and your fellow party-goers with respect.
