Emerging Creators Unit – Application Form
The Emerging Creators Unit offers an intensive opportunity to develop your artistic voice through the creation and performance of your own 25-minute show at Buddies. Artists who receive training are paired with either a professional director or actors in preparation for a presentation of their work at the annual Queer Pride Festival.
If selected, participants can expect to attend bi-weekly meetings every Monday starting January 13, 2020, from 10am – 1pm, with an additional commitment to the first 2 weeks of June for presentations and tech with the schedule to be determined. In addition, participants will have up to 20 hours rehearsal with assigned mentors scheduled around your availability.
Deadline: Friday, October 25, 2019
Your application must include:
- LETTER OF INTRODUCTION (one page max – Tell us about yourself as an artist: who you are, what you’re interested in, any relevant experience you may have as a writer, performer or creator, and most importantly, why you want to be part of the Emerging Creators Unit and how this opportunity will take your practice to the next level.
