Tallulah's Cabaret

Upcoming Cabaret Events:

Like its ambisextrous namesake, Buddies’ in-house bar and performance space Tallulah’s Cabaret does it all. It’s throbbing club nights and community tap dance lessons. High-concept drag and low-stakes open mics. Go for pre-drinks but stay late for the post-show discourse — maybe even spark that next collaboration. With local brews and sober options that aren’t an after-thought, Tallulah’s is the come-as-you-are bar for old friends, new lovers, partiers, poets, and curious passerby. See you under the chandeliers.

Tallulah’s Cabaret is open Wednesday to Sunday from 6:30PM to midnight (or later).

WEDNESDAY // 6:30 PM – 12AM
THURSDAY // 6:30 PM – 12AM
FRIDAY // 6:30PM – 2AM
SATURDAY // 6:30PM – 2AM
SUNDAY // 6:30PM – 12AM

Check out our events calendar for more info, follow Tallulah’s Instagram, or get tickets to ticketed events on our Showpass.

IS BUDDIES A BAR, A THEATRE, OR WHAT?

It’s both. Buddies in Bad Times is a professional theatre company dedicated to the production and development of queer plays. And we’ve been around since 1979 as the largest and longest-running queer theatre in the world. On our weekends, we host late night events to raise money for our theatre and community programming.

All the proceeds from the bar go directly to the theatre, which makes late nights at Tallulah’s the most fun you’ve ever had supporting the arts.

COVID Safety

As a general rule, we are no longer requiring visitors to wear masks when attending events at Buddies or Tallulah’s Cabaret.

However, each of our regular season shows will have at least one mandatory masking performance, and individual events happening at Tallulah’s may have unique masking requirements. If you are attending a mask-mandatory performance or show, you will be required to wear a mask. We have surgical masks available on site if you forget yours!

Please check out individual event requirements when purchasing tickets in Showpass. Masking requirements for specific shows will be listed in the event description and/or title.

How Not to be a Cunt, Darling

Buddies is part of a diverse neighbourhood of businesses, bars, and people’s apartments — we ask that when you come to party on the weekend that you treat our neighbourhood, our neighbours, and your fellow party-goers with respect.

Tip your bartender.

Consent is sexy.

Our bathroom is for folks of all genders.

Reserved Tables?

Some cabaret events are ticketed and can be purchased ahead of time. During bar and party hours, there are generally no advance tickets or reservations.

Bottle Service?

Fuck no.
