Tallulah’s Cabaret

Tallulah’s Cabaret Rental Rates

Please see the table below for our updated rental rates. These rates reflect the cost of labour that’s required to manage and book the space, as well as staff labour on site as applicable. HST will be applied on top of these rates.

Rehearsal Rentals 

Space rental with or without a technician. No access to the antechamber (room between the Cabaret and the Chamber, pictured below). Rehearsal rentals are possible between 10AM and 5PM from Monday to Friday.

Event Rentals

Includes hosting/ticketing staff, ticketing set up through our Showpass platform,* a technician, access to lighting and sound boards, the projector, and the bar open + staffed by our bartenders. Access to the antechamber is subject to availability and an additional fee. Please note that Tallulah’s Cabaret is not available for theatrical performance rentals. 

*If you rent with us, you have to use Showpass, which adds some additional fees to your ticket prices.  

Half Day (4 – 5.5 hours between 2PM – 10PM)  $1,100 + HST
Full Day (6 – 8 house between 2PM – 10PM) $1,800 + HST
Late Night (10PM – 3AM) $1,200 + HST

If you’re looking at these rates and thinking “uhh, excuse me? In this economy?” and you’re a solo renter or non-profit organization who is aligned with Buddies’ values, stay tuned for the launch of our Community Space Program in the new year.  The CSP will allow you to apply to use the Tallulah’s space at low or no cost on certain nights each month. Applications for the CRP will be reviewed  and selected by a committee of community members.

How to Make a Rental Request at Tallulah’s

However, if you’re a corporation or non-profit who can pay our rental rates and you’d like to inquire about renting Tallulah’s Cabaret for your event, please read the following. 

  1. We require a minimum six-week lead time for rentals. If your event is within the next six weeks, please check out this list of alternate venues for your event! 
  2. Because of the nature of our space and our administrative capacity, we don’t book rentals more than four months in advance (16 weeks). If you’re planning an event that is more than four months away, we may not be able to prioritize planning the event until eight to 10 weeks prior to the event date. 
  3. As of November 18, 2024, we will only respond to rental requests made through the form below. Our rental team receives dozens of new requests each week, and we don’t have the capacity to respond to cold email requests. 
  4. Filling out the form below does not guarantee that you will be able to rent the space. 

Please note that while we do our best to respond to all form submissions, if your request doesn’t meet the above criteria, we may not be able to respond. If you haven’t heard from us within three weeks of submitting your request, or your event is less than a month away, we likely cannot accommodate your request. 

We’re very busy being gay in the months of October, January, May, and June. Please be especially patient with us!

TLDR: Please Fill Out This Form If…

  • you want to rent Tallulah’s for your event
  • your planned event date is eight to 12 weeks away
  • you can wait up to three weeks to hear back from us 

Rental requests must be submitted through the form below. Because we are not a dozen tiny robots but in fact a kind and compassionate human team of a few people, we don’t have the capacity to respond to cold emails concerning new rental requests.

The Bar (Within Cabaret)

The bar will be open and staffed for event rentals.

The Antechamber

The antechamber is only available upon special request, and subject to availability. Additional costs apply! The Antechamber is accessible via garage doors that open from the Cabaret, and from the front lobby entrance of the building. 

Chamber
