DONATING TO BUDDIES
“Buddies is the beating heart and artistic soul of the queer community in Toronto, I am so grateful for this safe and special space.”
Empowering Artists, Elevating Queer Voices, Inspiring a Better World
Buddies in Bad Times is the largest and longest-running queer theatre in the world, and the only reason we got here is our incredible community of donors.
For as little as $5 a month, you can be part of this community and play an instrumental role in bringing vital queer arts and community programming to our city. In a few easy steps, you can set up an on-going gift that will sustain and grow your favourite program, and ensure a bright future for Buddies.
Here’s where we need your support. If you would like more information, send an email to our development team and we’d be happy to put together a custom information package based on your interests.
EMPOWERING QUEER ARTISTS
Be part of the creation of original queer performance by supporting our new work development programs. Your donation will fund arts residencies, workshops, and new play commissions, and help us increase the technical and artistic supports we are able to provide our resident artists.
PUTTING QUEER STORIES ON STAGE
By supporting our or MainStage and Festival programming, you will be providing opportunities for hundreds of queer artists to share their work on our stage and ensuring they have the supports and resources they need to achieve the highest levels of excellence.
ELEVATING QUEER VOICES
Put your support behind our educational programs and help young and emerging queer artists discover their creative voice and share it with the world. Your donation will support a year-round program of free training and performance opportunities for the next generation of queer artists.
CREATING INCLUSIVE QUEER SPACES
Our donors play a key role in ensuring that everything that happens at Buddies can be enjoyed by our entire community by providing free tickets for folks in need, supporting our year-round program of ASL Interpreted performances, and helping us create a permanent staff position dedicated to growing our accessibility programs.
Give on Your Own Schedule
Monthly giving isn’t for everyone. If you’re interested in making a larger gift, we have a number of pledging and one-time gift options. Contact our Director of Development Mark Aikman at 416-975-9130 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss a plan that’s right for you.
